Scorched Earth Art Collective

Scorched Earth Art Collective is a community pottery studio in Corvallis, Oregon. We offer pottery classes, workshops, Basic and private studio memberships for beginners and experienced potters alike. We have clay available for sale to our members from Georgies and Tacoma Clay Art Center.

We currently fire everything at cone 6, we will be setting up a raku kiln, updraft gas kiln and rocket wood kiln in the near future.

Classes include instruction in wheel-throwing, hand-building, and glazing techniques. All materials, tools, equipment, and kiln firings are included in the cost of classes and workshops. Class sizes are kept small so each student gets individual instruction.

Our instructors have years of pottery experience and teach students of every skill level, from first-time visitors learning to center clay on the wheel to returning students working on more advanced techniques.

We offer a variety of workshops for those looking to play with clay for the first time, as well as multi-week class series for students who want to refine their skills. Private workshops can also be booked for groups, and are a common option for birthday parties, team events, and other gatherings.

Members have daily studio access from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and their own 18 by 48 inch shelf to keep work in progress.
